Standard rates 2026
- €563 – single adults and single parents
- €506 – each partner in a couple
- €451 – adults under 25 living with their parents
- €471 – teenagers aged 14 to 17
- €390 – children aged 6 to 13
- €357 – children aged 0 to 5
On top of this, the Jobcenter pays appropriate rent and heating costs, plus supplements such as the single parent supplement.
How much can you earn on top?
- The first €100 of gross earnings are not counted.
- From €100 to €520, 20 % stays with you.
- From €520 to €1,000, 30 % stays with you.
- From €1,000 to €1,200 (€1,500 with a child), 10 % stays with you.

Is child benefit (Kindergeld) counted?
Yes. Kindergeld of €259 per child counts as the child’s income and reduces the benefit.
